Merrow (from Irish murúch, Middle Irish murdúchann or murdúchu) is an Irish-English term for a mermaid or merman, the word appearing in two tales set in Ireland published in the 19th century. The green-haired beautiful merrow is forced to wed a local Kerry man who deprives her of the "magical cap" (cohuleen druith) in Lady of Gollerus

Our Merrow-Darrowby's Frosted Merrow, aka Splash- is not(thankfully) green haired. Splash is the daughter of Frost and Canon. She is a gorgeous, heavy coated girl born in July of 2014. When we tested and found her Ichthyosis free, this puppy had her forever home. I already loved her conformation, temperament, pigment, bone and coat. i have never before had a puppy who needed to be brushed at six weeks of age but this girl seems to have coat to spare, She fearlessly plunged into the pond as a baby and Splash was launched. She loves the snow as much as the water-good thing in NY these days! Join us in welcoming Splash as our second Canon daughter at Darrowby. Her half sister Wrigley now has hip, elbow, eye and cardiac clearances and is another gorgeous cream addition to our kennel. Her playmates are Elton and Flame, and Ardagh. Our Splash now has her OFA elbow and hip clearances, her cardiac and eye clearances and her OFA CHIC certificate. She is Ichthyosis clear, pra and prcd clear.

She went to Canada to be shown and dropped her coat, but did pickup 2 points with our super handler Hailey Griffith. She will finish her championship after a break for a liaison with McCallum and a maternity break. Here is Splash at age 2, enjoying the snow.

While the Merrow in the Lady of Gollerus was forced to wed, we can't imagine forcing out Splash to do anything so it is a good thing she really likes to please us

SPLASH!! now seven months-what a sweetheart. We promise a better stacked picture soon-she looks like she was about to fall asleep in this one-must have been naptime. We love her bone, coat, pigment, her angles, topline and her temperament. She is a keeper!

More pictures soon. We are quite pleased with this lovely girl and her progress. We think she is looking quite mature for her age and we are delighted she is still acting like our youngest puppy! As of 2016, she has BVA 4:3 hips.0:0 elbows, cardiac and eye clearance.
